We Must Not Confuse Meekness and Weakness

I truly wish more Christians would use their backbone, grow thicker skin, and refuse to be intimidated. We must come to understand that “meekness” is not necessarily “weakness”.

Many Christians have allowed themselves to be “bullied” into just being quiet, and not demonstrating what is actually righteous indignation to the many sins of our society. I’ve been just as guilty of this as anyone, and I’m not the least bit proud of it.

Whether contemporary society says so or not, if the Bible calls something a sin, it is a sin. Period, end of discussion. If it was sin at the time the Bible was written, it’s a sin today, and it will still be a sin tomorrow. And it doesn’t matter even a little bit whether I like it or not, or whether I agree with it or not.

If we can all be honest with each other, if it had been left to us, there are parts of the Bible that might have been recorded differently. And no, I’m not going to give any examples of what that may be. The bottom line is that God didn’t ask any of us; He’s way smarter than that. God is perfect; His Word is perfect; His Son is perfect. It is us that bear the responsibility to measure up to His standards, not the other way around.
